Kyle Tucker remains confident in the Los Angeles Dodgers despite their 6-2 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers in Game 3 of the National League Championship Series on Wednesday night. The defeat left Los Angeles trailing 3-0 in the best-of-seven series, putting the defending champions one loss away from elimination.
The Dodgers entered the NLCS hoping to continue their pursuit of a third consecutive World Series title. Instead, Milwaukee has won all three games and moved within one victory of reaching the World Series for the first time since 1982.
Tucker acknowledged the challenge facing Los Angeles but backed the group to respond. The outfielder emphasized that the Dodgers have the talent and experience to win four consecutive games, even with their season on the line.
“I believe in this group. If there’s a team to do it, it’s this team.”

“I believe in this group. If there’s a team to do it, it’s this team,” Tucker said, according to SportsNet LA, which shared his postgame comments on X.
The loss followed another difficult night for the Dodgers’ offense. Los Angeles managed five hits and scored twice, leaving the team with seven runs through the first three games of the series. Milwaukee, meanwhile, capitalized on its opportunities late to secure the win.
The Dodgers briefly took a 2-1 lead in the sixth inning when Will Smith delivered a two-run double. However, the advantage disappeared in the seventh, when Jake Bauers hit a two-run homer off Blake Snell before Garrett Mitchell followed with a solo shot. Milwaukee added two more runs over the final two innings to complete the 6-2 victory.
Tucker has been one of the Dodgers’ more productive hitters this postseason, but the team needs more consistent production throughout the lineup. Los Angeles also needs to limit Milwaukee’s late-inning opportunities after the Brewers repeatedly found ways to take control of close games.
History makes the task difficult. The 2004 Boston Red Sox remain the only team to overcome a 3-0 deficit in a best-of-seven postseason series, doing so against the New York Yankees in the American League Championship Series.
The Dodgers will try to keep their season alive in Game 4 on Thursday at Dodger Stadium. Tyler Glasnow is scheduled to start for Los Angeles, which must win four straight games to advance. Tucker’s confidence is clear, but the Dodgers now need to turn that belief into a victory.
