Livvy Dunne was so pumped up cheering on Paul Skenes

The Pittsburgh Pirates may have been mathematically eliminated from the MLB playoffs weeks ago, but Livvy Dunne is still cheering on Paul Skenes just as hard as she did in the star pitcher’s first outing of the season.

Skenes did not allow a run in six innings of work in the Pirates’ 4-3 win over the Cincinnati Reds on Wednesday night at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati, Ohio. The right-hander took a no-decision after giving up just four hits and striking out seven.

After Skenes faced the final batter of his outing, Dunne was shown in a luxury box going crazy for her boyfriend. Dunne was holding a Miller Lite tall boy and appeared to be yelling “let’s go!”

Though the win was only Pittsburgh’s 69th of the season, Skenes had plenty to pitch for. In addition to playing spoiler against a team that is fighting for a playoff spot, Skenes was trying to solidify his case to win the NL Cy Young Award. That is likely why Dunne was so fired up.

The start was Skenes’ final one of the season, and he lowered his ERA from 2.03 to 1.97. He is a heavy favorite to win the Cy Young Award.

Fans may try to give Dunne a hard time on social media, but she did not seem bothered while watching Skenes pitch for the last time in 2025.
