The Cincinnati Reds reassigned six players to minor league camp on Wednesday.

Tyler Callihan, Rece Hinds, Noelvi Marte, Connor Phillips, and Yosver Zulueta were all sent to minor league camp.

None of these moves are a surprise, but Noelvi Marte being sent down stands out. After being suspended for the first 80 games of the 2024 season for violating Major League Baseball's performance-enhancing drug policy, Marte hit just .210 over 66 games.

It was made clear that the 23-year-old was going to have to earn the job in camp. However, he was 3-22 with eight strikeouts in the spring.

There are 46 players remaining in Major League camp.
