Former Dodgers star Doug Camilli has sadly died. He was 89. Camilli spent nine seasons in MLB, winning the World Series with the Dodgers in 1963. He was the son of former Brooklyn Dodgers standout Dolph Camilli.

Doug played 313 games as a catcher. He averaged .199 and scored 18 home runs and 80 RBIs during his career. He joined the Dodgers in 1960, leaving them in 1964. Camilli left four children, 10 grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

The Dodgers will start the defense of their back-to-back championships against the Arizona Diamondbacks. After another busy offseason, they look like clear candidates to three-peat.
