The Los Angeles Dodgers are one of the oldest and most prestigious franchises in MLB, and that distinction has a lot to do with all of the great players that have called this organization their home.

With 16 Hall of Famers, 18 Rookie of the Year award winners, 12 Most Valuable Players and 12 Cy Young Award winners among their many other accolades, the Dodgers organization boasts an impressive group of alumni that can rival any other franchise.

To honor some of those great players, the team is welcoming back more than 40 members of their historic franchise over their Alumni Weekend during their August 9 to 11 series against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

A collection of Dodgers from the 1960s to the 2010s will reunite for the Alumni Grand Reunion on August 10 ahead of the 6:10 p.m. game time.

The Alumni Grand Reunion is the headline event for Saturday’s game and the weekend as a whole with Rick Dempsey, Eric Karros, Nomar Garciaparra, Shawn Green, Tommy John, Manny Mota, Wes Parker, Reggie Smith, Steve Yeager and Dodger manager Dave Roberts set to make an appearance.

Walter F. O’Malley, president of the Dodgers from 1970-1998, will become the 15th member of the Dodgers’ Ring of Honor.

The other festivities scheduled for Alumni Weekend include the induction of Dusty Baker into the Legends of Dodger Baseball on Friday and Matt Kemp Day on August 11.

Baker will be joined by other Legends at his ceremony including Orel Hershiser, Gibson and Mota. Matt Kemp Day rounds out Alumni Weekend on Sunday, with Kemp being honored in a pregame ceremony and signing a one-day contract to retire as a Dodger.

Other confirmed attendees for Dodgers’ Alumni Weekend

Scheduled attendees for the Grand Alumni reunion also include Kevin Gross, Jerry Hairston, Jr., Mickey Hatcher, Charlie Hough, Jim Lefebvre, James Loney, Matt Luke, Ted Sizemore and Bobby Valentine. Andre Ethier, Eric Gagné, Steve Sax and Fernando Valenzuela are also among those slated to attend.
