New York Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor has been nothing if not reliable for the team since 2022. The 31-year-old had an injury-shortened season after they acquired him in 2021, but he's hit at least 26 homers in each of the last three years and batted at least .270 in two of those three.
This year, Lindor is second on the team in runs scored (47), hits (78), and total bases (133). The former Cleveland Guardian is also tied for second in homers (14) and leads with 13 stolen bases.
New York revealed exciting news about Lindor before its game against the Atlanta Braves on Wednesday, via its social media.
Mets fans will get a chance to meet the four-time All-Star and be one of the first people to purchase his latest New Balance sneaker at Mets House in New York City. The event will take place on June 25 at noon.
The event is titled "Meet and Shop with Francisco Lindor," and space is limited.

Lindor has had a forgettable June, as he's slashing .241/.317/.407 with two homers and five RBI over 14 games. The Mets have also lost four straight and are now tied with the Chicago Cubs for the NL's best record. They're also two games ahead of the Philadelphia Phillies atop the NL East.
Lindor went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts in New York's 5-4 loss to Atlanta on Tuesday. The Braves won on third baseman Austin Riley's walk-off sacrifice fly in the 10th inning.
Right-handed pitcher Paul Blackburn will start for New York on Wednesday.
