Mets Make Roster Move Ahead of Giants Series

Despite a second half turn around, the New York Mets are still experiencing one of the most infuriating seasons in franchise history.

Coming off of a historic collapse which saw them miss the playoffs after once being 20 games over .500 in 2025, the Mets made a lot of changed to attempt to improve.

Those moves have not worked out as the team sits in fifth place in the National League East division with a 63-77 record.

However, the team did just take three out of four against the American League leading Tampa Bay Rays before headed home for a three-game set against the San Francisco Giants.

The team made a roster move prior to the start of the series, claiming right-handed pitcher Cameron Weston off of waivers and optioning him to Triple-A Syracuse, while designating catcher Shawn Ross for assignment.
