For all of the New York Mets' issues during their horrific June swoon, no one can pin any blame on superstar outfielder Juan Soto.
Luckily for the slumping Mets, they still have a surging Soto in the lineup. Soto continued his torrid month by crushing his 18th homer of the year on Wednesday night, this time against the Atlanta Braves.
Soto opened the fourth inning with a go-ahead solo blast off Braves rookie Didier Fuentes. Unsurprisingly, whoever runs the Mets' official X/Twitter account encouraged its followers—and those who stumbled onto the post—to vote for Soto for next month's All-Star game.

"ST" the account wrote in a separate post.
Clearly, the rest of his Mets teammates wanted to join the fun, scoring five runs and knocking Fuentes out of the game. The Mets batted around before Soto struck out for the inning's final out.
It's the latest June highlight for Soto, who is up to nine home runs this month. Soto hit .315 with 16 RBIs and a fantastic 1.169 OPS over his first 97 June plate appearances, although the Mets went 10-12 in that stretch.
Soto wasn't the only Mets outfielder having some fun on Wednesday night. Center fielder Jeff McNeil robbed Braves DH Marcell Ozuna of a first-inning home run.
The Mets entered Wednesday at 46-34 and trail the rival Philadelphia Phillies by 1 1/2 games in the NL East. However, the Mets hold the NL's top Wild Card spot.
