We sure hope you've been riding with us on Bark Bets to start the week. Our own Griffin Carroll nailed a +153 MLB parlay on Monday, then he followed it up by cashing Bryce Harper at +430 and Marcell Ozuna at +290 to homer on Dinger Tuesday.
Let's attempt to keep building that bankroll with a juicy Same-Game Parlay for Wednesday's matchup between the Atlanta Braves and the Colorado Rockies. You won't want to miss this one.
What do you get when you put MLB's most potent offense in the league's friendliest hitter's ballpark? Runs, runs, and more runs.
The Braves have scored a combined 17 runs in the first two games of their three-game set in Colorado, and we're hoping for more of the same Wednesday with the heat and strong winds creating a projected 32 percent boost to home runs and a 30 percent boost to runs at Coors Field, per Ballpark Pal.
Let's start early with over 0.5 runs to be scored in the first inning. The top of this Braves lineup is an unstoppable force right now, and they should have no problem getting Rockies starter Kyle Freeland out of the gates.
As for player props, let's roll with Marcell Ozuna (-155) and Eddie Rosario (-140) to both record at least one RBI. Ozuna has been on an absolute tear with a team-leading 13 RBIs and six home runs over his last 44 at-bats, and Rosario is batting .433 with nine RBIs in the last nine games.
We can't leave Ronald Acuna out of the party, so we'll throw in the NL MVP favorite to score at least one run at -370 odds. Toss in the Braves run line at -1.5 for the cherry on top, and we get a +474 SGP over at FanDuel.
Betting: Over 0.5 runs in the first inning, Marcell Ozuna and Eddie Rosario to record an RBI, Ronald Acuna to record a run, and Braves -1.5 runs (+474 FD)
Zach Johnson announces six captain's picks for U.S. Ryder Cup squad — We already knew which six players were heading to Rome to compete for the U.S. in the 2023 Ryder Cup, and now we know the full roster. On Tuesday, Team USA captain Zach Johnson named Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas, Collin Morikawa, Brooks Koepka, Rickie Fowler and Sam Burns as his six captain's picks. The U.S. is currently a -140 favorite to win the Ryder Cup, with Europe coming back at +135.
Giants' Alex Cobb comes one out short of MLB's fifth no-hitter in 2023 — Cobb was on the verge of making history Tuesday night, as he stared down Cincinnati Reds first baseman Spencer Steer with 26 outs in his pocket and still no hits allowed. But with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning, Steer ripped a double to right-center field to ruin the party. Cobb struck out the next batter to finish off the gem, but he left the mound thinking about what could've been.
Colts keep Jonathan Taylor on PUP list after failing to find a trade — The plot thickens in Taylor's ongoing spat with the Indianapolis Colts. Indy was unable to find a trade partner for Taylor before roster cuts on Tuesday, so the team will keep its star running back on the physically unable to perform list to start the season. Taylor will now miss the first four games of the season, and he could miss even more if the Colts don't trade him before then. Indianapolis is +600 to win the AFC South this year.
