Meet the Southern Cal baseball alums who heard their names called in Atlanta at this year's draft.

As Major League Baseball's All-Star Game bacchanal rolled into the Atlanta Braves' Truist Park after final outs were recorded Sunday, all eyes did not immediately turn to Shohei Ohtani, Aaron Judge, Paul Skenes, and the game's brightest stars. Rather, the biggest star in the room was this year's Big Board and countless amateur talents standing in hope at the doorstep of their pro baseball dreams.

The Home Run Derby? Fun times. The Midsummer Classic? A timeless treasure. But first things first, my children.

Indeed, Sunday, July 13 kicked off the All-Star Break with the 2025 MLB Draft. From the starting gun, the action did not disappoint, with the Washington Nationals and Los Angeles Angels delivering two big surprises with picks No. 1 and 2.
