The Savannah Bananas have become a craze that fans can enjoy all across the United States. The Bananas have scheduled games all throughout the 2025 calendar year, touring cities all over the country.
To date, they have toured and sold out 43 different cities, with games that started back in February of 2025. They currently have games scheduled through the end of September. Most recently, they concluded a set of games on Sept. 5 and 6 inside Petco Park in San Diego, California.
The Bananas took on the The Firefighters, reportedly selling out Petco Park with a capacity crowd of approximately 40,000 fans each night. On Saturday, fans inside the stadium were treated with an unbelievable surprise when a Hall of Famer, who played 18 MLB seasons, emerged from the bullpen.
San Diego Padres legend, and longtime closer, Trevor Hoffman, made his Bananas debut, seemingly to the surprise of everyone in the stadium, earning his first save in a Bananas uniform.
He helped the Bananas sweep The Firefighters, and the electric moment was posted to the team's official X account.

"Could barely hear Hells Bells it was so loud. Trevor Hoffman comes in to close out the game for your Bananas in front of a sold out Petco Park." @BananaBall_ posted on X.
@TheSavBananas then retweeted the video of Hoffman's entrance with a one line caption:
"Legendary way to end the game."
Hoffman spent 16 seasons with the Padres, saving 552 of his 601 career games with the team. He is second only to Mariano Rivera on the MLB all-time saves list, and Hoffman was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2018.
He famously used the AC/DC song, "Hells Bells" as his entrance song from the bullpen during his playing-career. The same song was played on Saturday night as he traversed the outfield, however, the fans were sent into such a frenzy the song was almost completely drowned out.
