New York Yankees second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. has made a successful career for himself in Major League Baseball thus far. Through six years in the majors, he has hit .248 with an OPS of .770, 108 home runs and 308 RBIs. Chisholm has appeared in two All-Star Games and won one Silver Slugger Award in his professional tenure.

The Nassau, Bahamas, native is entering his third season with the Yankees after he was signed as an international free agent by the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2015 and was later traded to the Miami Marlins, where he made his MLB debut in 2020.

Ahead of the trade deadline in 2024, Chisholm was traded to the Yankees from the Marlins in exchange for three prospects.

Chisholm had his best season in the majors in 2025. He had a .242 batting average with an .813 OPS, 31 long balls, 80 runs driven in and 31 stolen bases. His home run and RBI totals were both career highs.

This offseason, the 27-year-old avoided arbitration with New York by signing a one-year, $10.2 million contract to stay with the franchise for 2026. On Friday, as part of MLB Network's top 100 player countdown ahead of the 2026 season, MLB shared that Chisholm ranked as the No. 61 player in baseball.

".@MLBNetwork’s #Top100RightNow rolls on with Nos. 70-61!" the caption read.

Chisholm was the third player ranked in the top 100 by MLB Network through the first half of the list. He joined starting pitcher Carlos Rodon (No. 99) and first baseman Ben Rice (No. 95) among the top players in baseball.

The All-Star second baseman and the rest of the Yankees will begin the 2026 season with their first game of spring training on Feb. 20 against the Baltimore Orioles.
