We went 2-1 in strikeout props on Tuesday to get our return off on a profitable note, and we're looking to keep it rolling on Wednesday. Here are our three favorite K props for the MLB slate.
Pirates at Padres, 4:05 p.m. ET
Perez has cleared this line in two straight starts since joining the San Diego Padres, but those performances came against the Miami Marlins and the Colorado Rockies. Before that, he went under this line in seven of eight starts. In a matchup against his old team, Perez should return to the form we saw for most of the season. In 70 combined plate appearances against Perez, current Pittsburgh Pirates hitters are batting .355 with a 12.9 percent strikeout rate.
Cubs at Guardians, 6:40 p.m. ET
This is a lot of juice to pay for a strikeout prop, but that's how much we love it. Cobb made his season debut last week against the Minnesota Twins, and he gave up nine hits and five runs with only one strikeout in 4.2 innings of work. He recorded a minuscule 8.8 percent whiff rate during the game, so he's a prime fade candidate until he proves otherwise. As for the matchup, the Chicago Cubs have the third-lowest strikeout rate against righties over the last week (17.2 percent).
Yankees at White Sox, 8:10 p.m. ET
Warren has struggled since getting called up to the majors for the first time, as the rookie has given up 12 earned runs through two starts. Even though he's been hit hard, the right-hander still managed to record six strikeouts in both starts. He has a good chance to go deeper in this appearance against the Chicago White Sox, who rank dead last in OPS and 25th in strikeout rate against righties over the last month.
