The New York Mets announced three roster moves before today’s game. They optioned Tobias Myers to Syracuse. They also selected the contract of another pitcher from Syracuse in the process.

Anderson Severino

The Mets have designated the left-handed pitcher Anderson Severino for assignment today. Severino has pitched in six games for New York with a 6.14 ERA and a 1.50 WHIP. He has pitched 7.1 innings of work, recording nine strikeouts for the Mets this season.

Tobias Myers

Cionel Perez

The New York Mets have selected the contract of Cionel Perez today from Triple-A. Perez has pitched in 16 games already for the Nationals this season. He has a 2-3 record with a 6.19 ERA and a 1.69 WHIP. Perez signed a minor league contract with the Mets on May 9th. He elected free agency after he was sent outright to Triple-A by the Nationals.
