New York Yankees Starting Pitcher Carlos Rodon was named to the American League All-Star team on Friday morning. It is the third selection of his career. He will replace fellow Yankees Starting Pitcher Max Fried on the American League’s active roster. It has been a strong first half of the regular season for the newly named American League All-Star. He is top 10 in the league in wins, strikeouts, and WHIP. How will he pitch in next week’s All-Star Game?

Rodon debuted with the Chicago White Sox in 2015. He remained with the ballclub until 2022, when he spent a season with the San Francisco Giants. He has been with the New York Yankees since 2023. His best two seasons came in 2021 and 2022. He was an All-Star both years and finished top 10 in Cy Young voting both seasons.

The final start for Rodon before the break will be tonight at home against the Chicago Cubs. It will be a tough test for the lefty as Chicago features one of the league’s most potent offenses. If he can continue pitching at such a high level, it will help New York late in the season.
