Nike Launching New Kobe Dodgers Collection

Early access to purchase the new collection launches on Aug. 8 and 9 in L.A. for the Mamba League Invitational. They then go on sale to the public with their marketplace launch at select retailers on Aug. 15.

Last year, Nike released their Kobe 6 Protro Dodgers-themed shoes in March. Initially inspired by a Player Exclusive (PE) design first revealed by Vanessa Bryant, the sneaker embodies the Dodgers’ classic blue, complemented by white and red accents reminiscent of the team’s iconic uniform.

Kobe 5 Protro

This Kobe 5 Protro honors Kobe’s love for Los Angeles and the city’s shared passion for winning.

The bold Hyper Royal colorway pairs with Wolf Grey accents and red baseball-inspired stitching. In addition to the standard blue, the shoe comes with additional red and baseball laces.

The Kobe 5 Prorto will be priced at $180 USD and $190 globally.

Kobe Air Force 1 Protro

This Air Force 1 Protro features a Wolf Grey and Rush Blue colorway and pairs with red baseball-inspired stitching, decorative laces and Kobe’s number 8 on the heel.

The Protro model comes with improved, intentional tech featuring an ultra-plush drop-in ReactX foam midsole, paired with Nike Air cushioning for supreme comfort.

The AF1 Protro will be priced at $150 USD and $160 globally.

The men’s extended unisex sizing ranges from 3.5-14, 15, 16, 17 and 18 for both shoes.

Nike’s Kobe Brand x Dodgers launch party

Nike LA and Nike Diamond held an exclusive launch party at Dodger Stadium to celebrate the on-field debut of the new collection, offering select media a first look at the new gear. DodgerBlue.com was among the few outlets invited by Nike to view the new releases and was gifted a pair of sneakers from the new collection.
