Mike Bianco and the Ole Miss Rebels will look to capture an SEC series victory on Friday evening in Gainesville with Game 2 against the Florida Gators up next on the docket.

After taking down Florida in Game 1 on Thursday behind a strong effort from Taylor Rabe on the bump, Ole Miss cruised to a win with contributions coming from top to bottom.

Rabe made his first SEC start in Game 1 where he struck out six batters over a career-high 4.2 innings of work.

Following Rabe's start, it was Hudson Calhoun who took the bump where he ended up picking up the win with two innings of scoreless relief - while Walker Hooks earned his first save of the season, allowing just one hit over the final two innings.

Ole Miss earned a strong Game 1 win with the program now searching for a series victory after taking a commanding 1-0 lead.
