Padres Lose Lead to Dodgers in Most Unlucky Way Imaginable in Seoul Series

The San Diego Padres opened their season early Wednesday morning San Diego time against the Los Angeles Dodgers in Seoul, South Korea.

Padres pitchers did an incredible job of limiting the damage through the first seven innings of the game — but in the eighth inning, things got out of hand.

The Dodgers loaded the bases with nobody out, and tied the game on a sacrifice fly.

Then, the Padres induced a potential inning-ending ground ball double play, but the ball went through Jake Cronenworth's glove and into right field, bringing the go-ahead run home for the Dodgers. Literally through his glove.

The ESPN announcers were just as shocked as the rest of us, as the Dodgers took their first lead of the game on a ball that went through the webbing of Cronenworth's glove.

The Dodgers then got back-to-back RBI singles by Mookie Betts and Shohei Ohtani, and had a 5-2 lead in the blink of an eye.

The Dodgers currently lead 5-2 in the top of the ninth inning.
