Pete Crow-Armstrong Reveals Personal News After MLB Announcement

Pete Crow-Armstrong of the Chicago Cubs has been in the headlines for his tremendous play as of late. Crow-Armstrong is having the best year of his career as the leadoff hitter for the Cubs, boasting career highs in batting average (.286) and OPS (.883).

The 24-year-old played tremendously last week for Chicago, starting with the series against the Colorado Rockies. On Monday, June 15, the Harvard-Westlake High School graduate hit for the cycle in a 5-4 win, becoming the 13th player in Cubs history to accomplish the feat. The center fielder continued his hot play throughout the week, including a stellar performance on Friday in Chicago's 16-2 win over the Toronto Blue Jays.

Crow-Armstrong was everywhere that day, going 3-for-3 at the plate, along with two walks, two steals and an RBI. PCA extended his hitting streak to 10 games and his on-base streak to 23 games. For his efforts, MLBrewarded the California native with National League Player of the Week honors.

That same day, the Gold Glove Award winner took to social media to capitalize on his name being in the headlines. On his Instagram Story, Crow-Armstrong posted a screenshot of Kristin Cavallari's podcast, "Let's Be Honest." The reveal was that it is a live podcast featuring Crow-Armstrong as the headliner.

The post also promised appearances by other surprise Cubs players. The event will be held at the Chicago store on Sunday, July 19, from 7-9 p.m. CST, with doors opening at 6 p.m.

Chicago will next face the New York Mets on Tuesday at Citi Field for a 7:10 p.m. ET game.
