Philadelphia Phillies 2026 Projected Lineup: Batting Order, Starting Rotation & More

With the previous campaign ending with heartbreak early on in the postseason, the Philadelphia Phillies have fresh enthusiasm for 2026. The team clearly has unfinished business on their mind after continuous disappointment in the playoffs despite starting as one of the favorites for the World Series crown for the past few years.

Moreover, the Phillies secured all their primary objectives in the offseason. They re-signed Kyle Schwarber after his outstanding 2025 season, while J.T. Realmuto remains an invaluable asset to the pitching staff. Ranger Suárez will be a big miss in their starting rotation, however. And Zack Wheeler is still on the sidelines after undergoing shoulder surgery last year.

  3. Bryce Harper (1B)
  4. Alec Bohm (3B)
  5. Brandon Marsh/Otto Kemp (LF)
  6. Adolis Garcia (RF)
  7. Bryson Stott/Edmundo Sosa (2B)
  8. J.T. Realmuto (C)
  9. Justin Crawford/Johan Rojas (CF)

The top half of the Philadelphia Phillies lineup remains the same as last year, with Trea Turner in the leadoff spot, followed by Kyle Schwarber, Bryce Harper, and Alec Bohm. New signing Adolis Garcia could make a massive impact if he rediscovers his old self from three years ago.

Rookie prospect Justin Crawford may be their starting center fielder after tearing through the minor leagues. Brandon Marsh and Johan Rojas can also switch platoon roles in the outfield. Edmundo Sosa and Bryson Stott may also share playing time at second base.

  2. Jesus Luzardo (LHP)
  3. Aaron Nola (RHP)
  4. Taijuan Walker (RHP)
  5. 5. Andrew Painter (RHP)

With Zack Wheeler starting the season on the IL, Christopher should be the Opening Day starter for the Philadelphia Phillies following his dominant display last year. Fellow left-hander Jesus Luzardo will take the No. 2 spot on the rotation after his excellent first season with the team.

Veteran right-hander Aaron Nola is hoping to bounce back strongly after a forgettable, injury-marred 2025 campaign. Meanwhile, Taijuan Walker produced a resurgent campaign last year to return to the rotation with top prospect Andrew Painter taking the final spot.

Jhoan Duran will continue as the closer for the Philadelphia Phillies, with the 28-year-old enjoying a superb spell in the role last year. Jose Alvarado and Brad Keller will be the two setup men of the bullpen.

Orion Kerkering will be desperate to make up for his monumental blunder that pulled the curtains on the Phillies’ campaign last year. Tanner Banks becomes the primary left-handed reliever of their pitching staff with the departure of Matt Strahm during the winter.
