The Philadelphia Phillies will start a three-game series tonight against the Chicago Cubs. They’re coming off a series loss to the Diamondbacks over the weekend in which they were outscored 12-11. They’ve dropped five of their last seven games, averaging 2.6 runs per game while allowing 4.4 runs per game. Not the start the Phillies expected for the 2026 season. Today, they placed right-handed pitcher Jonathan Bowlan on the 15-day injured list with a right groin strain and recalled right-handed pitcher Seth Johnson from Triple-A Lehigh Valley.
