Philadelphia Phillies Starting Pitcher Cristopher Sanchez had a great game last night at home against the Boston Red Sox. He tossed a complete game and surrendered one earned run while punching out 12. His performance last night was not an aberration. He has been tremendous over his last seven starts.
He became one of only three pitchers(Greg Maddux, Clayton Kershaw) in league history to have an undefeated record, sub-1.50 ERA, 50+ innings pitched, 50+ strikeouts, fewer than 5 walks, and no more than 1 home run allowed over a seven-start span. He has been great this regular season. He is eighth in the league in ERA and 10th in strikeouts. Will Sanchez be able to keep pitching at such a high level?

Sanchez debuted with the Philadelphia Phillies in 2021. He had a nondescript first few years before coming into his own last season. He was named an All-Star and finished 10th in NL Cy Young voting. The starting pitcher has upped the ante by pitching even better in 2025.
Sanchez’s next scheduled start is July 28 on the road against the Chicago White Sox. That should set up well for the lefty. Chicago’s offense is one of the worst in the league. He will look to keep pitching well during what the Phillies hope is a deep postseason run.
