Following their 9–19 start, the Philadelphia Phillies have put the league on notice, ripping off a 36–17 run under interim manager Don Mattingly.
The Phillies last three wins have truly defined this season thus far.
After dropping the series opener of a four-game set against the Washington Nationals, the Phillies went on to take the series win on three straight historic comeback wins.
During Tuesday's contest, Philadelphia trailed 8-6 going into the ninth inning before an offensive explosion. They scored eight two-out runs, including Bryson Stott's three-run go-ahead home run which led the Phillies to a 14-9 win.
On Wednesday, the Phillies faced a one-run deficit down to their final strike before unlikely hero, Derek Hill, ripped a go-ahead two-run home run to put them up 5-4. Closer Jhoan Duran shut the door in the bottom side for the team's second straight comeback victory.
Finally, on Thursday, the Phillies were facing a large 5-0 deficit after a rare rough outing from Cristopher Sánchez. The team once again rallied in the late innings and Bryce Harper hit a two-run go-ahead home run in the ninth inning to complete the third straight Phillies comeback.
Per Sarah Langs of MLB.com, the Phillies became the first team in MLB history to hit a go-ahead home run in the ninth inning of three consecutive games.
Coming off a historic series like that, the team has all the right to be confident. They proved you can never count them out of games.
Phillies' first baseman Bryce Harper showed off this confidence in his postgame interview on Thursday with the Phillies broadcasters.
When asked about what wins like this tells him about a team, he did not mince words, stating, "We're coming, watch out."
We're coming.

Harper has put the league on notice with this warning.
The Phillies are in fact coming. On June 9, the Atlanta Braves held a nine game lead for first in the National League East division over the Phillies. As of Friday, that lead is all the way down to four games with 81 games to go.
The Braves have faltered as of late, going 3-10 over their last 13 games. The amount of injuries in Atlanta seem to be catching up to them.
But Philadelphia has kept their foot on the gas, going 7-3 in their last 10 as they head to Queens to take on the New York Mets for three games.
Bryce Harper and the Phillies start that series on Friday at 7:10 p.m., as the team looks to continue closing the gap on the Braves.
