The Philadelphia Phillies are struggling this season, holding a 12-19 record that leaves them fourth in the National League East entering Friday. Yet over their last three games, they have found some life, winning twice on walk-offs.

One player still searching for consistency is shortstop Trea Turner, who this year has posted a .254 average, .323 on-base percentage and .696 OPS with three home runs and 10 RBIs across 29 games.

He is not matching the expectations of his 11-year, $300 million deal signed in 2022. Still, there is time for a turnaround, as it’s early and he remains among the best players of his generation.

He still has the support of his Phillies teammates this season, including his infield partner Bryson Stott as he works to turn it around. Turner reached a major career milestone with 10 years of MLB service time earlier this week.

Stott was one of the first players to voice his support for Turner on social media. Stott took to his Instagram story to repost Turner's celebratory post. He added the message, "."

Turner has played alongside second baseman Bryson Stott for more than three seasons, building a close friendship and strong on-field rapport as the team’s double-play combination.

As key contributors in Philadelphia’s clubhouse, they have helped anchor the middle infield and support the offense. Stott has struggled as well, posting a .207 batting average, a .258 on-base percentage, and .534 OPS, along with five RBIs and five stolen bases in 25 games.

Both Turner and Stott will look to turn their season around in the next matchup against the Miami Marlins. They are coming off a two-game win streak and should provide a favorable matchup for the Phillies.

With momentum beginning to build, Philadelphia will aim to carry its recent success into the series and climb back into contention in the NL East standings, starting this week.
