Phillies' J.T. Realmuto Makes Personal Announcement Amid MLB Season

The Philadelphia Phillies’ investment this past offseason in catcher J.T. Realmuto on a new three-year, $45 million contract is looking like a smart decision early in 2026. The 35-year-old veteran is off to a strong start at the plate, reminiscent of his earlier years in Philadelphia.

Through 13 games, Realmuto has posted a .286 batting average, .388 on-base percentage, .793 OPS, one home run and four RBIs. He has also continued to provide steady defense behind the plate.

Realmuto has missed four games due to a bruised right foot, an issue he has managed throughout April, but when he is on the field his production has been excellent for a Phillies team that has underperformed so far at 8-9 through 17 games.

As Realmuto prepares for Wednesday’s game against the Chicago Cubs, he took to Instagram to make a personal announcement. He shared that he and his wife Lexi will once again host Faith and Baseball Night at Citizens Bank Park, marking the third annual edition of the event.

The postgame gathering features the Realmutos discussing their faith journey along with musical performances, with this year’s performers being NEEDTOBREATHE.

Realmuto shared the announcement on his Instagram story and added the caption, “We hope you’ll join us for a special night,” along with a link for fans to purchase tickets.

The event will take place after Philadelphia’s game on May 23 against the Cleveland Guardians at Citizens Bank Park. With Realmuto’s professional journey deeply connected to his faith, he has built a strong individual legacy in MLB.

Across 13 seasons spent with the Miami Marlins and the Phillies, he has collected three All-Star selections, two Gold Glove Awards and three Silver Sluggers.

As the Phillies look to find consistency, Realmuto’s leadership and production remain essential, both on the field and in the community.
