Phillies vs. Dodgers: 2025 NLDS competitors will face off for the first time this season. The last time the Phillies faced the Dodgers, it ended in a disaster. Orion Kerkering’s blunder shattered the Phillies’ dreams of making it to the NLCS.
Despite all the ups and downs, the Phillies were still no match for the Dodgers. That said, it’s also worth noting that their 2026 season started out in yet another disaster. The club fired manager Rob Thompson, and several players are currently in a slump.

The Dodgers, on the other hand, are doing everything they can to retain the top spot in the NL West. They are favorites to win the World Series again. However, plenty of injuries have piled up for the team.
Philadelphia will turn in their veteran pitcher Zac Wheeler to the mound as their starter. Wheeler has an excellent start with a 4.67 ERA. He holds a 4-0 record.
Dave Roberts will send southpaw Justin Wrobleski to the mound against Wheeler. Wrobleski has a 6-2 record with a 3.07 ERA. The Dodgers must give enough support offensively to help Wrobleski.
| | Spread | Total | Money Line |
| Phillies | -1.5 | U 8 | -101 |
| Dodgers | +1.5 | O 8 | -119 |
Based on the odds, the Phillies are narrowly expected to defeat the Dodgers. Wheeler’s incredible right from the start of this season. The three-time All-Star will need a bit of run support along with the bullpen to hold on.
Wrobleski has stepped up for the Dodgers in the absence of veteran pitchers. Blake Snell and Tyler Glasnow are out, and Wrobleski has handled the pressure really well. However, the Phillies are known to turn things around.
Kyle Schwarber and Bryce Harper remain as the hot hitters of the team. Philadelphia is still 8.5 games behind the Atlanta Braves and is just half a game ahead of the Washington Nationals.
