Former New York Yankees star Carl Pavano has been in the middle of an intense prenup battle.

The couple flew to the Dominican Republic in 2011 to tie the knot. Despite sharing a home in Fairfield, Connecticut, Pavano and his ex-wife, Alissa, have engaged in a years-long dispute over the prenup agreement that could be worth “tens of millions of dollars,” CT Insider reported.

Alissa alleges that Carl coerced her into signing the agreement by threatening to abandon her. They moved to Connecticut in 2018, where they share custody of their children, aged 17, 16, and 11, at their 9,000-square-foot home.

According to court records, Alissa Pavano filed an application for relief from physical abuse on May 1. She alleges that she has “suffered significant abuse and coercive control by Carl that has recently escalated to a degree where I no longer feel safe in the marital residence.”

Documents also show that police have been called to the Fairfield home 9 times since 2024.

“Fairfield Police Sgt. Jenna Wellington said police have responded to the address of the home nine times since the divorce proceedings began, most recently on April 29.”

Carl Pavano has yet to respond to the court filing.
