Woj report clobbers NBA Draft market

Odds move like crazy in advance of NBA Draft tonight - There has been speculation for weeks on how the top of the NBA Draft will shake out. This has been coupled with odds movement we rarely see in betting markets. After being the consensus first selection for some time, Jabari Smith briefly lost his stake as the favorite in place of Paolo Banchero of Duke. Banchero was once listed at +1800 to go first and briefly skyrocketed to the betting favorite Thursday morning. That was all put to rest by ESPN insider Adrian Wojnarowski, who has stated the top of the board will go as follows: Smith, then Chet Holmgren, then Banchero. There is no longer betting value to be had in this market. Smith and Holmgren are both -3500 to go first and second, respectively, while Banchero is -1050 to be drafted third. -- Griffin Carroll

Check out this MLB moneyline parlay of White Sox and Padres -- With a light Thursday MLB schedule, two games to combine for a parlay stand out -- Chicago White Sox (moneyline) and San Diego Padres (moneyline). With +181 odds, betting these two home favorites is a must.

Phillies vs. Padres is Thursday's late game (9:40 p.m. ET), but it's worth staying up for. Picking San Diego is the right decision with National League Cy Young candidate Joe Musgrove starting. The right-hander is 8-0 with a 1.59 ERA in 12 starts this season, and it seems the Padres just don't lose when he starts. OK, they did once -- the Padres are 11-1 in Musgrove's starts this season. Musgrove has allowed just two runs in three starts this month, has recorded a quality start in every start and has yet to allow more than two earned runs in any game this year.

The Chicago White Sox continue their seven-game homestand on Thursday vs. a Baltimore Orioles squad that has just one series win this month. Yes, Baltimore starter Dean Kremer has been solid in three starts this year (1-1, 2.35 ERA), but 36-year-old Johnny Cueto has been better this season for the White Sox. Cueto has gone at least six innings in each of his seven starts and has allowed three or fewer runs in six of them. This pick is more because how bad the O's are than how good the White Sox are, but riding the White Sox is a solid play.

In other news ...

They want the Cup -- The Colorado Avalanche are just one win away from their third Stanley Cup after beating the Tampa Bay Lightning, 3-2, in overtime on Wednesday. The Avalanche are now favored to win "Lord Stanley"  at -1250 odds while the Lightning are 9/1 underdogs to come back and win the series. Game 5 is Friday in Colorado at 8 p.m. ET.

Sooners await Rebels or Razorbacks -- Oklahoma advanced to the College World Series Championship with a 5-1 win over Texas A&M on Wednesday. The Sooners will face the winner of Thursday's elimination game between Ole Miss (-1.5, +152 on FanDuel) and Arkansas (+1.5, -188 FD). First pitch between the Rebels and Razorbacks is at 3 p.m. ET.
