Rain washes out second game of Brewers-Cubs doubleheader

The second game of the doubleheader between the Chicago Cubs and visiting Milwaukee Brewers was rained out on Monday evening.

The game was rescheduled as part of a split doubleheader on Tuesday, with the first game to be played at 1:20 p.m. CT and the second game slated for 7:05 p.m.

Right-hander Chad Patrick (3-7, 3.52 ERA) is scheduled to start Game 1 for the Brewers and right-hander Brandon Woodruff (4-0, 2.06) will start Game 2.

All-Star lefty Matthew Boyd (11-6, 2.46) is slated to start the first game for the Cubs on Tuesday. Right-hander Jameson Taillon (7-6, 4.44), who has been sidelined by a calf injury, will be activated off the 15-day injured list to start the second.

The Brewers won the first contest of Monday's doubleheader 7-0 to open the scheduled five-game series and move nine games ahead of the Cubs in the National League Central.
