Adolis García, Joc Pederson, and Kyle Higashioka each launched three-run homers. At the same time, Corey Seager added his team-leading 21st of the season as the Texas Rangers overwhelmed the Los Angeles Angels 20-3 on Wednesday night.

García’s 17th homer ignited a four-run first inning, Pederson extended the lead with his seventh long ball in the second, and Seager added a two-run blast in the fourth. Higashioka capped the offensive onslaught with his 10th home run in the seventh — a three-run shot that made it 20-3. His blast came off Angels infielder Oswald Peraza, who moved to the mound and gave up eight runs on 21 pitches, all in the 30–40 mph range, while recording just one out.

All three earlier homers came against Angels starter Jack Kochanowicz (3-11), who was recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake for his 23rd season start. He endured the roughest outing of his career, surrendering 11 runs (10 earned) on 10 hits in just 3 1/3 innings, raising his ERA to 6.81.

The Rangers used a bullpen game after Nathan Eovaldi was placed on the injured list with a rotator cuff strain that likely ends his season. Jacob Webb (5-4) picked up the win with 1 2/3 scoreless innings following Jacob Latz’s opener.

Wyatt Langford reached base in all five plate appearances, scored four runs, and exited in the seventh for a pinch-runner.

Key Moment:

After the Angels briefly led 1-0 in the first, García’s three-run homer immediately swung the momentum in Texas’s favor.

Key Stat:

García, Pederson, and Higashioka each finished with five RBIs, as the Rangers posted their highest run total since a 20-6 win over Minnesota in 2011.

Up Next:

Both teams are off Thursday. The Angels head to Houston on Friday, with Tyler Anderson (2-8, 4.73 ERA) starting the series opener. The Rangers travel to Sacramento to face the Athletics, sending rookie Jack Leiter (8-7, 3.81 ERA) to the mound.
