Rangers’ Latest Gameday Dish Features Nachos and is ‘Wearable’

The Rangers unveiled other dishes as part of the rollout of new food at Globe Life Field as part of a thread on social media. There is a new hot dog called the Elote Dawwg and a new sandwich called the Pig Kahuna.

Other new items that were rolled out on Instagram as part of a slide show included the Chicken Tender Helmet, with chicken tenders and fries in a regular-sized helmet. There were also photos of the new High Steak Nachos, the Texas Tamale Torta, Pork Wings, Hawwt Dawwg Biscuits and Gravy, the Texas Tenderloin Sandwich, Loaded Pretzels and the Churro Helmet Sundae.

The Rangers are coming back from a 4-2 road trip that saw them win both series against the Philadelphia Phillies and the Baltimore Orioles. During the road trip the Rangers put together a four-game winning streak and won a game in extra innings.

During the trip, Jack Leiter put together the best start of any of the five starting pitchers in the rotation. Nathan Eovaldi made two starts but took the loss in each start.

Texas and Cincinnati will start Friday’s game at 3:05 p.m. Neal McCoy is set to sing the National Anthem while Dallas Stars goaltender and U.S. Olympic gold medalist Jake Oettinger is set to throw out the first pitch. The game will be broadcast on Rangers Sports Network and pre-game begins at 2 p.m.

After the Reds leave town, the Rangers host the Seattle Mariners in a key three-game series from Monday-Wednesday. The Mariners won the American League West crown and reached the AL Championship Series before losing to the Toronto Blue Jays, who went on to lose to the Los Angeles Dodgers in the World Series.
