Rangers SS Corey Seager (hamstring) exits game
Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

Texas Rangers shortstop Corey Seager exited Wednesday's game against the visiting Detroit Tigers with an apparent hamstring injury after hitting a run-scoring single in the bottom of the second inning.

Seager lined a 1-0 pitch from left-hander Joey Wentz down the third base line, scoring Travis Jankowski from second base. Seager grabbed his left hamstring after reaching first base and exited the game after two pitches to the next batter, Josh Smith.

Seager, 30, extended his on-base streak to a career-high 28 games with the single. He is batting .271 with 13 home runs and 30 RBIs on the season.
