It was a week for the infielders, as Edwin Arroyo & Wehiwa Aloy were among the notable middle infielders who had strong stretches in the Minors. However, perhaps the best performance over Week 6 of the 2026 Minor League campaign came from A’s prospect Henry Bolte.

Arroyo on a tear

After what was a down year from Edwin Arroyo in 2025, things have been much better for him in 2026.

The Reds’ infield prospect finished this past week with 13 hits, second-most in the International League this past week. Additionally, he belted three home runs, part of a lengthy tie for second in that circuit.

That week helped Arroyo become the first player in the International League to 50 total hits. Among all Triple-A players, he’s tied for second alongside Ryan Fitzgerald (Dodgers) and Cole Carrigg (Rockies) with 53 total hits, behind only Henry Bolte of the Athletics.

Bolte tearing up Vegas

Speaking of Henry Bolte, the A’s outfield prospect had five home runs and 15 total hits this past week for Triple-A Las Vegas, both figures that led the week in the Pacific Coast League. And along the way, Bolte had a streak in which he had a hit in 10 straight plate appearances.

The 22-year-old Bolte had one of the most impressive skill sets in the A’s system heading into 2026, thanks to his power & speed. However, Bolte had a lot of swing-and-miss in his game.

So far in 2026, the walk rate is under 10%, down from 2025. However, Bolte has also cut down on the strikeouts to 22% in 2026, much improved from the 28.9% K% he sported last season.

Big week for High-A infielders

The Orioles had two infielders combine for eight home runs this past week for High-A Frederick. Elis Cuevas had three, while former Golden Spikes winner Wehiwa Aloy belted five to lead the South Atlantic League.

Aloy became the fourth SAL player to hit double-digits in home runs this season, joining Astros catching prospect Jason Schiavone, Braves outfielder Eric Hartman, and White Sox infielder Caleb Bonemer.

Meanwhile, Devin Fitz-Gerald (Nationals) and Henry Godbout (Red Sox) had three-home run weeks, as did Dodgers infield prospect Nico Perez.
