The Reds signed a familiar face on Wednesday, signing right-handed relief pitcher Ian Gibaut to a minor league deal.
Gibaut was non-tendered by the Reds earlier this offseason and will get an invitation to spring training.
The 31-year-old pitched in just two games with the Reds last season due to injury. in 2023, he pitched in a career-high 74 games with a 3.33 ERA.
Gibaut may be a long shot to make the team out of camp, but he provides valuable depth to an already strong and well-stocked pitching staff.
