The Reno Aces finished off a six-game sweep of the Sacramento River Cats in walk-off fashion, extending their winning streak to 11 games on Saturday.

Out of their last 11 wins, five have come by a one-run margin, including three consecutive one-run victories against Sacramento.
The River Cats jumped out to an early 5-2 lead as Chris Rodriguez could only secure one out while walking a pair and giving up a double. All three baserunners came around to score.
In the bottom of the 8th, facing a three-run deficit, the Aces’ heart of the lineup delivered. Albert Almora Jr. started the rally with an infield single, marking his second consecutive three-hit game.
After Adrian Del Castillo drew a walk, bringing the go-ahead run to the plate, Andres Chaparro stayed red hot with a three-run homer to the deepest part of the ballpark.

Over his last five games, Chaparro has gone 15-for-24 at the plate, with 15 RBIs and three home runs. Chaparro was signed to a minor-league contract by the Diamondbacks last November. He had previously spent seven years in the Yankees minor league system.
While the River Cats tied the game in the top of the 9th, Christian Montes De Oca shut the door in extras, giving the Aces a chance to walk it off in the bottom of the 10th.
And the Aces didn’t need any hits in the 10th to secure the win, as a couple of walks were followed by a wild pitch to score Bryson Brigman.
The Aces will now receive a couple of days off before getting back to action on Tuesday, with a chance to extend their winning streak to 12 games.
