The Milwaukee Brewers are upgrading their infield, particularly at second base.
According to The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal, the Brewers signed Kolten Wong to a two-year, $18 million deal with a third-year team option worth $8 million on Wednesday.

Wong has spent his entire eight-year career with the St. Louis Cardinals. The two-time Gold Glover slashed .261/.333/.384 with 53 home runs and 281 RBI in 852 games with the Cards.
The Toronto Blue Jays and Los Angeles Angels were also among teams interested in signing Wong. However, the Blue Jays recently signed Marcus Semien, which likely put them out of contention for Wong.
Wong will likely take over at second base for the Brewers, but could share time with Keston Hiura and Luis Urias.
