Reports: Reds reach deal with OF JJ Bleday

The Cincinnati Reds reached a one-year deal with outfielder JJ Bleday, multiple outlets reported on Saturday.

MLB.com put the value of the one-year deal with the Reds at $1.4 million, plus incentives.

Bleday, 28, is a former No. 4 overall draft pick who bats left-handed and can play all three outfield positions.

Bleday batted .212 with 14 homers and 39 RBIs in 98 games last season with the Athletics.

He is a career .215 hitter with 49 home runs and 142 RBIs in 404 games with the Miami Marlins (2022) and A's.

The Marlins drafted Bleday2019 out of Vanderbilt.
