With just one week until the Kansas City Royals take on the Cleveland Guardians to kick off the 2025 season, the anticipation is building and fans can’t wait to get back out to Kauffman Stadium.

Earlier this month, the Royals and their concession partner Aramark announced the world-famous Z-Man sandwich from Joe’s Kansas City Bar-B-Que would be coming to Kauffman Stadium concession stands this season.

The sandwich is comprised of slow-smoked brisket, smoked provolone cheese and onion rings, all topped with Joe’s famous sauce and placed on a toasted kaiser roll. The sandwich is a staple of the Kansas City barbeque scene, and was named as a leading reason that Joe’s was awarded the No. 1 spot on USA Today’s 2015 Readers Choice for BBQ spots in the US.

Fans looking to try this famous sandwich can find it at the Joe's Kansas City Bar-B-Que concession stand in Section 251.

While it was the most noteworthy, the Z-Man wasn’t the only addition to the Kauffman menu this year.

The Sluggerrr Dog, named after the famed Royals mascot, will hit the menu at Craft and Draft on the 300 level of Kauffman Stadium. According to the release, the item will include, “Chorizo topped with Manchego, tempura batter, Doritos® Cool Ranch® crust, and avocado aioli.”

The final item announced was the Blue Velvet Whoopie Pie. This item is a traditional whoopie pie but with an interesting Royals twist: it's blue. Vanilla fluff is sandwiched in between two blue velvet pies to create the sweet treat.

This new item can be found very close to Joe's new concession stand, as it is found in the Rivals Sports Bar behind Sections 250, 251 and 252.

While pricing for these items hasn't been announced publicly, one can assume you'll have to bring out the big bucks to try any of these items this season.
