The Tampa Bay Rays started out hot in Game 2, with Liam Hicks’ two-run home run leading off a four-run first inning. However, the Milwaukee Brewers have come all the way back to tie the game at 4-4 through a Sal Frelick home run in the sixth inning.
Going up against Rays reliever Ian Seymour, Frelick got a fastball down the middle and launched it to straight away center field, to the delight of the hometown Brewers fans.

Despite going behind to a big first-inning deficit in Game 2, the Brewers did not panic. They immediately hit back with two runs of their own in the bottom half of the first through RBI singles from William Contreras and Garrett Mitchell. That played a part in them knocking out Rays ace Drew Rasmussen in just 3.2 innings, his shortest start in over three months . Cooper Pratt was then able to cut the lead to 4-3 after capitalizing on a Rays error.
Sal Frelick would not have been a popular pick to hit the Brewers’ first home run of the World Series. He had hit just four homers in the regular season and had none thus far in the postseason. But the right fielder has had a surprisingly strong start to the World Series, with three hits in his first six at-bats.
With the game all tied up once again, it will now be a battle of the bullpens and which one can hold out the longest after the two starters failed to get past the fourth inning.
