The Giants are tied atop the National League West with a 41-29 record. San Francisco’s offense has been poor this season. They are 24th in the league in batting average, 20th in home runs, and 14th in runs scored. First Baseman Wilmer Flores is eighth in the league in RBI.
San Francisco’s pitching staff has been the stronger part of its ballclub this season. They are second in ERA, seventh in opposing batting average, and seventh in WHIP. Starting Pitcher Robbie Ray is second in wins, 12th in ERA, and 13th in strikeouts. Logan Webb is fifth in the league in strikeouts and 13th in ERA.
The San Francisco Giants return to the diamond tonight against the Los Angeles Dodgers looking to take the outright lead in the division. San Francisco and Los Angeles are both playing well this season. That will lead to the division lead going back and forth this summer.
