The Savannah Bananas are never short on surprises, but Friday night in Houston might go down as one of their most unforgettable shows yet—thanks to rap icon 50 Cent.

The Bananas took on the Texas Tailgaters in front of a sold-out crowd at Daikin Park, home of the Houston Astros, with postseason seeding on the line.

If the Bananas sweep the two-game set, they’ll clinch the No. 1 playoff seed.

A single Tailgaters win, however, would hand the top spot to the Party Animals and bump Savannah to No. 2.

That tension set the stage for a game that felt more like a party—and that’s where 50 Cent came in.

Midway through the night, the Grammy-winning rapper made his entrance “in da clubhouse,” rapping on his way to the mound before throwing a pitch that actually counted in Banana Ball.

Fans roared as the music legend brought his signature swagger to the diamond, blurring the line between sports and entertainment in classic Bananas fashion.

KJ Jackson and Danny Hosley Power the Bats

The game itself lived up to the hype, with fireworks on the field and in the stands.

The Bananas scored three runs in the opening inning to erase an early deficit, then blasted walk-off homers in the second and third from KJ Jackson and Danny Hosley.

Taj Porter answered with a homer for the Tailgaters in the fourth, and by the time the ninth rolled around Savannah held a slim 4–2 lead.

Savannah Bananas Fans Deliver Clutch Outs

Banana Ball’s quirks proved decisive: two outs came via fan-caught foul balls, before the Tailgaters rallied for one run.

Hosley, who had already delivered at the plate, secured the final out on a popup to lock down the win.

The Bananas now sit one victory away from stealing the No. 1 seed, but the real headline from Houston may be that 50 Cent just added Banana Ball to his list of stages.
