Seattle Mariners Catcher Cal Raleigh has continued to impress this regular season. His performance this year has him in rarefied air. He has 36 home runs this year. The only other switch hitter in league history before August is New York Yankees legend Mickey Mantle.
Raleigh is leading the league in home runs, second in RBI, and second in OPS. His performance led to him being named to his first MLB All-Star Game and participating in the 2025 T-Mobile Home Run Derby on July 14 at Truist Park in Atlanta, Georgia. Will the star catcher keep performing at such a high level?

Raleigh signed a six-year $105 million contract extension in March. With the way he has played in 2025, that deal has been a massive bargain. The catcher is coming off a strong 2024 campaign. He finished 12th in AL MVP voting. He also won a Gold Glove and a Platinum Glove. He has upped the ante in 2025. He has the second-best American League MVP odds behind New York Yankees star Aaron Judge.
Raleigh and the Seattle Mariners return to the diamond tonight against the New York Yankees. He will look to continue rewriting the history books this regular season for a Mariners team looking to succeed in the American League.
