Seattle Mariners Catcher Cal Raleigh has been great in the first half of the 2025 regular season. He had 5 RBI last night against the Detroit Tigers, including a grand slam and a solo home run. It was his 38th home run of the year. That is the most by a switch-hitter in a team’s first 94 games of a season. It also tied him with Mantle for the most multi-homer games in a season by a switch hitter(8). The catcher is also tied for the most multi-home run games by any player in a team’s first 94 games with Reggie Jackson.

Raleigh is one home run shy of Barry Bonds for the most home runs in a season before the All-Star break. The star catcher is the only player in league history to have 35+ home runs, 15+ homers off lefties, 8+ multi-home run games, and 3+ grand slams.
