The Seattle Mariners are off to their best start in over two decades. Seattle defeated the Athletics 6-5 by overcoming a five-run deficit on Wednesday to take two of three games against their divisional rivals. It was Seattle’s ninth straight series win. It is the most consecutive series the Seattle Mariners have won since winning a whopping 15 in a row during the 2001 campaign. At 22-14, Seattle has their best start throughout 36 games since 2003. Will the Seattle Mariners be able to keep it up?
The Mariners have won nine straight series, their longest such streak since winning 15 in a row during the 2001 season

Seattle leads the American League West with a 22-14 record. Their offense has been stellar. They are 12th in batting average, fourth in home runs, and sixth in runs scored. Catcher Cal Raleigh has led the team’s power surge. He is tied for the league lead in home runs.
Seattle’s pitching staff has also been strong. They are 12th in ERA, 10th in strikeouts, and 22nd in opposing batting average. It has been a committee-like approach for the Mariners. No individual pitcher has stood out to begin 2025.
The Seattle Mariners have a day off on Thursday before welcoming the Toronto Blue Jays to town for a three-game series beginning on Friday. Seattle will be gunning for their 10th consecutive series victory this weekend. If the Mariners can keep playing at this level, they will be a force to be reckoned with in the American League.
