The Los Angeles Angels completed a three-game sweep of the Los Angeles Dodgers on Sunday afternoon. While they still sit in last place with a 20-25 record, this perfect Freeway Series gave the Angels a nice morale boost entering a four-game set against the Athletics.

For the Dodgers, this was the first time they were swept in a three-game series by the Angels in 15 years (via MLB ). While this Southern California battle always brings excitement, it has held even more intrigue since two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani decided to leave Anaheim for Los Angeles in free agency following the 2023 season.

Spending the first six years of his MLB career with the Angels, Ohtani made history on both sides of the ball. The Japanese sensation won two MVP awards in Anaheim, posting a 149 OPS+ at the plate and 142 ERA+ on the mound.

Making more history in his first season with the Dodgers, Ohtani invented the 50/50 club en route to a National League MVP and World Series championship. In the aftermath of Sunday's loss to the Angels, Ohtani made his first social media post, resharing a commercial he is starring in.

The commercial was originally posted by ITO EN, a Japanese green tea brand Ohtani is partnered with. Their post, translated from Japanese to English, announced some exciting news about upcoming plans for the Dodgers star.

"Shot with Ohtani in LA," the brand wrote. "The new commercial will finally be airing today! We're also planning to run an All-Star campaign on X today (19th) at 10:00!"
