Shohei Ohtani shares cool moment with Czech electrician who struck him out

The World Baseball Classic has been an outstanding event that has produced some wild fan environments and unintentionally funny uniforms. It has turned some unlikely people into temporary stars.

Like Czech Republic pitcher Ondrej Satoria.

By day, Satoria is an electrician, and he is currently representing his country as a pitcher in the WBC.

Earlier this week he got the thrill of a lifetime by striking out Team Japan and Los Angeles Angels superstar Shohei Ohtani on three pitches during Japan's 10-2 win.

Ohtani and Satoria had a chance to meet again on Tuesday, and Ohtani asked for a Czech Republic jersey signed by Satoria and all of his teammates.

That is an awesome gesture by Ohanti, and the thrill of a lifetime for Satoria. While it is nice to play up the electrician angle, he is still an accomplished pitcher and capable of playing at a high level.

Still, it is probably not a level that will give him an opportunity to face the best players in the game on a regular basis. Not only did he get that chance this week, but he struck out one of the best players in the game and one of the best we have ever seen.

Then he got to sign his own jersey and give it to him as a gift. That is a cool moment. Good on Ohtani for making that happen.
