Starting Pitcher Kyle Gibson’s time in Major League Baseball has come to an end. He announced his decision on the Serving It Up” podcast. His 2025 season did not go well. He was 0-3 with a horrendous 16.78 ERA. He was DFA’d by the Baltimore Orioles on May 18. He agreed to a deal with the Tampa Bay Rays on May 28, but never made it to the big leagues. Nearly two months later, he has officially hung up his cleats. How will his career be remembered?

Gibson debuted with the Minnesota Twins in 2013. He spent the first seven seasons of his career with the ballclub. He then bounced around and spent time with the Texas Rangers , Philadelphia Phillies, Baltimore Orioles, and St. Louis Cardinals. His lone All-Star appearance came in 2021. He ended his MLB career with an overall record of 112-111 with a 4.60 ERA.
Gibson had a solid MLB career. Unfortunately, his final few months in the big leagues did not go according to plan. The veteran starting pitcher will look to future endeavors as this chapter of his life has officially come to a close.
