The '400+ total bases in one MLB season' quiz

Memorial Day is often viewed as the first point in the MLB season teams and players can really start to be evaluated. To the surprise of absolutely nobody, it looks like Ohtani is headed for another incredible year. Through 54 games of the 2025 season, Ohtani leads Major League Baseball with 19 home runs, thanks in part to leadoff home runs in consecutive games for the Los Angeles Dodgers. He also leads the National League in both slugging percentage (.648) and total bases (136).

Which brings us to today’s quiz. Ohtani has essentially no holes in his offensive game, with his eye and contact ability pairing with his impressive power allowing him to get on base often and frequently reaching extra bases – finishing with 411 total bases in 2024. With that being said, how many of the players in MLB history to record at least 400 total bases in a season can you name in five minutes?

Good luck!
