The 'Active RBI leaders' quiz

Heading into the third inning of the second game of the New York Yankees doubleheader against the Boston Red Sox on Saturday, the Yankees had scored just one run through 20 innings.

They’d go on to score 25 runs in the next 14 innings to take three-of-four from their hated rivals over the weekend and win the season series 7-6. With the Yanks and Sox likely to face off against each other in the Wild Card round once again this postseason, the victories give New York the tiebreaker for home field if they finish with the same overall record.

One of the most encouraging parts of the weekend for Yankee fans should be the production of veteran Paul Goldschmidt, whose role as a lefty masher has largely kept him on the bench over the last month. With Boston trotting out four left-handed starters, Goldy started three games. The results were two home runs (including what became the game-winner in Game 1 for New York) with four RBI in his first starts since August 8.

Which brings us to today’s quiz. Goldschmidt’s 1,280 RBIs are the second-most among active Major Leaguers. With that being said, can you name the active players with at least 700 RBI under their belt?

Good luck!
