With less than a month remaining in the MLB regular season and a slim two-game lead in the American League West, the Houston Astros are taking a swing at strengthening their bullpen. The Astros and four-time National League save leader Craig Kimbrel have agreed to a contract to put the veteran on the Major League roster.
Kimbrel pitched just a single inning in an attempted return to the Atlanta Braves earlier this season, giving up no runs on one hit before getting released.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Kimbrel is a nine-time All-Star, two-time National League reliever of the year, one-time American League reliever of the year and 2018 World Series champion. With that being said, can you name every pitcher to lead the American and National League in saves since the 2008 MLB season?
Good luck!
